My mechanic told me about that back in the late 90s. Getting german cars is not the move cause getting the parts is headache.

But its domestic over their. Cheaper parts, probably built better and all the mechanics know how to fix them.
Regardless the car, everyone needs an indie and learn how to source for parts yourself

I want a low mileage 550i m sport but I'm scared to pull the trigger
Don't do it. BMW engines are terrible.
If you want a V8 Sedan go Mercedes 550 or AMG. The 550 can be tuned to make 550hp 715 torque. The AMG even more. If I can't afford the AMG I'm definitely getting a 550

Asian cars ain't got no power. There's the ISF, but it's small as hell. The GSF cost the same as an AMG, but less power and I'd say less luxurious.
