Why did you have to become such garbage Dolph Dawg :to:

Dude was on a roll late '14/early '15 as the IC champ but people bytched about him having little to no offense in his matches, which was actually a nice build on him being the Sole Survivor that year (he doesn't dominate his opponents, but he always survives). Then after the shytty angle of him getting fired and losing the belt to Barrett he realized his push was over and started phoning it in.

Best match I can recall from either of them. Truly some of their finest work... :wow:

I agree with the second part but the "sell death/hit a spot/sell death" thing he started doing wasn't a good way to go about his matches. And I think the criticism about his offense was that it looked like it wouldn't hurt a fly, which was valid, Dolph never really found a way to have credible offense. But dude still could bump like a mad man and mount a fiery comeback, thing is that he started losing that and after the SS angle went nowhere dude just gave up and starting giving us this very shytty version of himself.

The thing is that it worked though, unlike whatever he decided to do with his matches once he gave up on himself. Also, his offense might not be all that but the same can be said (even more so) about Dean Ambrose and his wailing punches and suicide pushes and a lot of people still give dude a pass for it.
