Used to eat pigs feet as a little kid and then just stopped for no particular reason.
Never liked neckbones or hamhocks. Always had an "off" smell to me. Greens and black eyed peas were always better with smoked turkey legs anyway. Greens + regular or jalapeño cornbread; Black eyed peas + hot water cornbread.
Did chitlins at a Korean BBQ spot and it was
. Momma, aunties etc., would never make chitlins and I did not care
.
Now back in the day, the older folks in my fam (1950s and earlier) ate squirrel, racc00n and stuff like that...but that's in the country where there was no toxic shyt around. Heard the squirrel was good if you knew how to cook it right. Feel like racc00n is nasty as fukk.
For the REALLY country nikkas, some might have had bear (if you were out during hunting season).....but uncles told me bear is nasty as fukk and can have all kinds of parasites and shyt.
