it was a hornets nest under this one tree
I put the mower on max speed whenever i had to pass the tree, and would duck...damn near fell off a few times

I was walkin home as a kid once and there was a hornet on the stair railing leading up to the back door. It turned around and I swear it made eye contact with me. I was shook like tropicana.
