Incoming NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a New York Post report Tuesday morning that the league will look to add HGH blood testing of its players, a policy change that will likely come once the NBPA names a new executive director. Silver, who will replace longtime NBA commissioner David Stern in February, added that he knows it will get done and said the league is "very focused" on bringing about the change for the sake of its players:

SI Wire: Report: LeBron James not running for NBPA president

"One of the changes that we know we’ll be making to our current drug testing is the addition of HGH testing, which requires taking blood from the players. We want to make sure, on behalf of our players, as well, that’s it’s done in the proper way, and that we understand what are the appropriate baselines for a natural substance, like HGH, so we can detect where there are aberrations. That is something we’re very focused on.

The news comes at the same time that Silver confirmed in the Post report that the league office is not aware of any potential link between the NBA and the Biogenesis scandal that prompted Major League Baseball to suspend 14 of its own players for having reportedly been clients of the South Florida PED clinic. Silver's statement refutes the claim made by a former Biogenesis employee who said the list of clients includes players from the NBA, NCAA, boxing, tennis and MMA, and said that although the league will continue to monitor the fallout from the MLB-Biogenesis case, there has been no evidence to suggest any involvement or link between the clinic and NBA players:

"We’ve been actively working to understand the situation and to the extent possible to learn what is being uncovered by MLB’s investigation. We are not aware of any involvement by NBA players.”
The NBA has a 20-game suspension for a first PED offense. A second offense is met with a 45-game suspension and a lifetime ban for a third infraction. NBA players are subject to four random drug tests during the season and two during the offseason.

:heh: Bron hoping that 4th test comes around the all-star break so he can load up on HGH through the playoffs then cycle off and pray he dont get popped

bron the type of dude to wear his emotions on his sleeve. it's obvious he aint happy in cleveland...he don't look like he fukks with anybody on the team. when you got bums like waiters testing you in every game, that's gotta be a sign of how things are in the clubhouse. this shyt is seriously gonna get ugly later in the season. almost feel bad for the guy:lolbron:
I remember somebody said Bron of all people was gon snuff Waiters like that nikka ain't a Akhi from Philly lmaoo.

and yet these c00ns want to hate on a 36 year old Kobe :mjlol:

i respect kobe's game and place in history as one of the greatest nba players of all time. he has no chill on the court and if other people are fukking up kobe doesn't sulk, he goes harder. lebron has started to get more like this, but it doesn't come naturally to him. you can still catch lebron sulking instead of getting more driven.

what i don't like about kobe's game, he doesn't embrace team ball as well as lebron does. if kobe's shot isn't falling it's almost like he'd rather keep shooting and lose rather than being a facilitator and perhaps winning. that's kobe though, take the good with the bad.

that said, i don't know either of these dudes personally, but i like lebron overall more than kobe. why? two reasons.

1) colorado. as a man there's some rules you don't break. dragging another man's name into your problems, to the police at that, when they had nothing to do with your problem is one of them. kobe smashed that rule, lit it on fire, then shat on it. and i ain't even a shaq stan.

2) when he said he wouldn't react to the trayvon martin case like other players did just because he's black. "I won’t assert myself". and then tried to get at jim brown after he got schooled instead of just stfu and taking his lump.

i don't hate on kobe much, but when i do i try to be objective. can't lie though, these two things are always in the back of my mind.
