No way...Hogan is a much better story teller in the ring even with his deliberate limited move set...he can actually chain wrestle but chooses not to ...like Jay Z says he dumbs down his lyrics to go platinum...thats what Hogan does but he makes it up with crowd interaction and emotion in the ring instead of being a jeff hardy spot monkey
Cena is a good guy and can put on a great match but just doesn't do the hero thing like Hulk Hogan and isn't as authentic for some reason ...
its also a different era where it was complete kayfabe with wrestlers still protecting the industry secrets so people might have genuniely believed Hogan's prayers vitamins training stuff in an era where being Pro America was big during the cold war stuff and Reagan was president and we had the promise of robots that didn't quite transpire but Rocky 4 is pretty much a good sum up of what the 80's represented
years, he made WWF and wrestling a phenomenon in the 80s. Pay-Per-View, MTV, cartoons, movies... and yeah, I know he was poppin' in the AWA before this, but when he got to WWF and won the belt, he went from wrestling popular to pop culture popular.
