blathering blatherskite!
Seems weird for a game that was supposed to be out already.
As per a new job listing from Microsoft (via GamesRadar), it looks like there will soon be a new entry in the long-running Halo franchise. The job ad lists a new producer role in Redmond, Washington – the city in which Halo caretaker developer 343 Industries is based.
“343 Industries is looking for a producer to help develop a new project in the Halo universe,” the job description notes, suggesting this is a wholly new, unannounced project, and not auxiliary work on, say, Halo Infinite.
Update: Halo community manager John Junyszek was asked on Twitter about the job ad in question, and he confirmed that the producer role is, in fact, for Halo Infinite.
“I did some digging and was able to confirm that this is a role for Halo Infinite,” Junyszek wrote on Twitter.
“It’s our standard boilerplate language for job listings. We saw the same attention on a posting last summer before we confirmed it was for Infinite as well.”
Cliff notes: a bunch of game sites were reporting a new Halo project was in development due to job listings being posted. It was later confirmed they are still adding to the development team for Infinite.
