But a lot of women get defensive and sanctimonious (especially if they have made the mistakes that go into those negative statistics and stereotypes that plague us) and a true dialogue can never even begin on those issues. Sidenote: I was having a meeting with my team last week and one of the team is a 23 yr old who just had a baby (OOW and baby daddy MIA). I was telling her that I had to go to VA in a few weeks to attend a wedding. This 23 yr old black woman told me that she had NEVER been to a wedding. I asked her to repeat what she said. And she stated that she had NEVER attended a wedding. I was dumbfounded.....and saddened that marriage/wedding is not even "normal" to this young woman.

Now, this is something we can agree on @GiGi

We need more accountability in the Black community. The fukkups are ruining our community as a whole.

i am of two minds here

i don't think people should lie in the dating game
but i wonder why these women don't put a better foot forward
maybe list some hobbies?? favorite home cooked meal??
some indication of what they bring to the table
beyond a willingness to engage in kinky unprotected sex

on the other hand, i kind of see her dilemma
obviously within five minutes of meeting in real life
you will learn about the kids, the unemployment, etc.
so in a way- why not put that out on front street??
like if i was trying to date right now
i'd be disclosing health problems, limitations, etc. from the jump
instead of springing it on them later by surprise

but on the flipside of that coin
when you have so many issues (six kids, unemployed, etc.)
maybe you need to hold up on that dating altogether??
like right now- i'm waiting until i get my health issues under control

I grew up with a lot of these chicks in my fam because I come from a poor ass black family. To ya'll middle class nikkas this is a random thot, to me this is Auntie Teressa and cousin Shalonda.



These chicks grow up in shytty homes with no guidance, too much apathy about everything, rampant materialism due to "easy money syndrome", shyt schools that are less maintained than the prisons, a lot of physical and sexual abuse, drugs, the kids follow suit, rinse, wash, repeat until you have the next generation of hood chicks and dusty nikkas. Cycle is vicious as a mutha fukka.

The dudes are all in jail/bullshyting around and the ones that do wife these chicks up are former crackheads, alcoholics and jail birds who realize too late in life they made all the wrong mistakes.

There's no militants that can save you in the hood. I sure as hell didn't see those "trillion dollar spending power" ass nikkas.



I think the internet is saving a lot of these kids now from that ratchet life cycle. I'm starting to see a lot of kids now actually learning from their folks mistakes and the internet has allowed them access to see how other people live while exposing them to new ideas. The chicks getting knocked up are still getting knocked up, dudes are still going to prison but a lot more poor black people are aware of what's out there now.

if you are raised with some moral fiber or well to do-itness.
people are failing to realize it is the great depression, termed the great recession.
it is just like we are reading some old ass book about the depression.
except you have a computer and amenities around you and all the open air crime is all closed air.
yet, it is just like back in those times.
except ebt has it so no one is on the streets in long lines everyday at government agencies.
children have rights along with women and people of color.
plus, the actual organizations have more resources and applied knowledge to squelch you from really knowing, what's to it.

the females, are exactly like some ragtime but hood version of fukked up.
it is like the same type of warped criminal activity in the underlining tone from depression era stuff like oliver twist mixed with technology filled rome.
all coupled with 1974's modern disco called EDM,..
that instead of a funk guitar and horns, as the back drop.
they have cleverly made triple six mafia style production the basis of this for cred.
mixed with smoke and ride and dirty house music from chicago style hooks.
with r kelly style singing with rappers version style with project pat whole steez on autotune.
while calling it rap, but it really is rnb.
that the females rnb singers that fill this chick's soundtrack.
all have more aggressive, antagonistic songs better than most male counterparts, these days.
illustrated in this madam minded ideal each and every female you run into like this has.



the music is just a visible reflection of that same time.
