3D printed Neighborhoods?

Because houses aren't built on horrible material already.
the wild thing is we got all this more efficient production tech and they still taxing. This house cost 400k, granted this neighborhood is a proof of concept if you will thus at scale it should be "cheaper" but I mean come on

Concrete homes are more structurally sound than those made of wood.
I think the only place really doing it in USA I've seen is Florida, but they are common in many parts of the world, they just often look ugly since folks are not building for aesthetic.
this is concrete construction. even the interior walls are concrete. usually with cinderblock homes you get the outside shell as concrete and then the interior walls are wood-frame.

I remember one of the highlights being touted was the cost and how much cheaper it is but you let big business get a hold of it and I am sure they drove up the cost

yeah "inflation" aside technology has simply increased profit margins for people. At a Minimum you would think with the ability to do remote work, companies would just spin up low cost communities in rural area to spur job growth that they can pay people less to do where it is a "win win" but them nikkas dsaid fukk that lol

I wish I had Elon money. I would buy these printers, buy the land, and hire engineers to build these for everyone that can’t afford a home for free.
