TRU kinda got screwed. they altered the landscape of hip-hop and clearly dropped the best album out of this set......only to not even get acknowledged by some of the voters.

glad im not from the south in this thread.:whew:
Tru altered the landscape? That's a stretch. No Limit as a whole did but Tru as a group wasn't some heralded group with classic music. They had some cool tracks and they were really popular do to that fact No Limit was poppin as a whole.

TRU was their main thing. i somewhat see what ur saying tho, the solos were bigger.

but TRU 2 DA GAME is indeed heralded as a classic.

TRU is one of my top 5 best rap groups of all time. I can't believe this is even a debate, maybe a joke but it's not funny imo, smh.

In the South maybe. Otherwise, Master P was the face of No Limit. Not TRU.

i guess.

i mean, after all, it was the bout it song/movie and the solo stuff that broke no limit on the east & the mainstream. i took that into consideration when doing the seeding tho. otherwise, i wouldve ranked them higher.

but hell, the "bout it" video is listed under TRU.:manny:

I remember listening to the TRU 2 Da Game album everyday in junior high, it's definitely a classic and extremely underrated imo. Master P and TRU were played heavily in the Bay Area (where No Limit Records originated) Don't forget Tru 2 Da Game (double cd) sold 2 million copies before Master P's Ghetto D album came out, artist can barely go gold nowadays.
