Decades of systematic racism that has created a war zone in Chicago meets a media agenda driven by people in power who have created and implemented a racially charged atmosphere.

This incident is just a microcosm, and the ironic thing is it will be the poor and lower class doing shyt like this. Rich and educated black and white relations will continue on just fine...

The hood isn't a place; it's people. Immoral and unintelligent people who predominantly migrated from places like Mississippi kept breeding with others of their ilk have which creating a war zone like Chicago. Racism may have exacerbated it. Their life, reproductive choices and family creation are what's poor and lower class. There are poor Whites in Appalachia who are economically worse than the Depression era US with poverty without the violent crime rate.

Lower IQs are concentrated in Southern states as well as poverty (for those who want to neg, do a websearch). People with higher intelligence tend get out of their circumstances or create opportunities in bad environments while those with lower intelligence live a perpetual existence. This is why smarter blacks tend to leave an area when it gets bad. It's the reason why struggling artists and gays can move into a depressed community and revitalize it in a generation (i.e. Dupont Circle DC, Hillcrest San Diego, Castro San Francisco) vs generational stereotypical nikka shyt witnessed in the poor South and so called inner cities.

Also wealth disparity and racism are not good explanations, as I assumed it before learning of this study: Race, Wealth and Incarceration: Results from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth . It included the following:

Between races, we find that at low levels of wealth both blacks and Hispanics still had a higher incarceration rate than whites. At higher levels of wealth at the baseline, although the black-white incarceration disparity was reduced for males, it was not eliminated.

We do observe that for Hispanic males starting with higher levels of wealth, odds of incarceration are similar to those of white males at comparable wealth levels. Why Hispanic males experience this convergence but not black males, we leave to further study.​

i.e. the researchers were at a loss to explain the difference in incarceration rates between Black Americans and Latinos, given the same socioeconomic circumstances (in the system of White Supremacy I may add). Some liberals, like some on this forum who didn't read the study - only associated news articles, only took away this: Poor white kids less likely to go to jail than rich black kids.

And even if you are going to torture someone, why be dumb enough to incriminate yourself? Perhaps direct that energy to the likes of Rahm Emanuel instead of some hick White boy.

So, are you saying its because blacks are just naturally prone to violence, and low iq?

I agree with some of what you wrote, but you didn't think everything out.

For example, the people in the appalachia are rural people, not city, so that plays a major part in the constant violence. I'm sure you know that it has been shown city living is much more stressful then suburban or rural living, so this along with poverty, drug use, and easy access to guns, along with racism helps raise the violence. Then you have to take into account certain cities like Chicago have a gang culture, and that helps the problem keep going. Also, people in the Appalachian region like other small towns know each other, and that effects how many killings will be happening daily. You are less likely to be shooting a whole bunch of people yearly, if a lot of you are related in some sort of way.

Also, you compare hispanics to black in regards to incarceration, but who are these hispanics? You have mexicans, and those from the islands or south america, which are raised differently, sort of, and have different experiences. In L.A., gang culture is normal for hispanics there, and you can see by the incarcerations rates, but its not like that for those from the islands. And the island latins are a much smaller number. That study is comparing blacks which are basically one group, to hispanics which are not all the same in looks, and culture.

Looks are important to the argument because racism is based on looks a lot of times, and that impacts certain things. Someone who looks like Jose Canseco will have a much easier time with the police, and being able to integrate into white society(which helps get more money), then someone who looks like Sammy Sosa, even after the skin bleaching! Both are hispanic, but have two different experiences, and you can see it with Sammy Sosa bleaching his skin!

As far as gentrification, different reasons can apply to why things get better. One is the new people have more money or power, and they get better services, while the old poorer people lacked those services. I've heard in numerous places that gentrification has happened, that police respond better when new people come to the area. The same with the garbage being taken care of. Then you have to take into account the new people just aren't used to the problems, and want the environment to be what they want it to be, while the old are used to the problems, and just accept it, this is just human nature. I even had to realize that I am able to do things differently now, then when I was broke or didn't have access to certain things. I wouldn't even realize it, until I would sit and think about it.
