I never got the argument that Jay-Z clowned Jay Elect on the album. Outside of the initial shock of hearing Hov sound like HOV in a way that I didn't expect, both were on their A game. The flaws of the album were moreso about mixing as people have said, plus there were a couple weak tracks that sounded tacked on for a more modern sound. There are some GREAT tracks on that album.
Jay Elect was spitting of course but idk, on some tracks it felt like he was running out of gas or the flow of the track was a lil too much for him. Songs on there like the Neverending Story and the 2nd half of the Blinding was where he really shined the most imo
