Depending on your take home and living situation, you can pay that off in less than 5 years. Like if you brought home $50k and could live on half of that, you'd been good. It would take some dedication. You could also pay down as much as you can, borrow the rest to pay off the balance in full and now the money you've borrowed is bankrupt-able in case shyt goes wrong. :manny:

I don't see it as any thing to be "proud" of to pay off student loans, but not have any money to accomplish anything else.
Eh, I’d recommend knocking it out as soon as you can and then worrying about growth in other areas later. Not owing anyone anything takes a huge load off of your back and you can really focus on stacking chips. Shoot, not having a negative net worth will already put you ahead of the majority of people in this country.
