all these tv deals I gotta pick one up, but of course best buy employees cant really tell the difference between SUHD and UHD (both HDR, LG and Samsung brands im looking at 55-60")

Is SUHD worth the $3-500 difference? On display, I couldnt tell a difference. So maybe im missing something

I have an SUHD Samsung JS8500. The "s" models usually have 10 bit panels and the regular ones have 8-bit panels. The SUHD will give you HDR 10 (what you want). It's worth the extra money.

My LG OLED 4K does it all. I recommend that over any non-OLED tv. I think you can get the B and C models for $1799 now (they were originally around $2700)

Are those the curved models (the LG)?

B isn't curved but it uses a different panel than the C and E (or whatever the top model is called).

I have the C, which is curved, and it's the best TV I've ever owned. They just put out a firmware update for the C, and above, to make HDR games less laggy. The B hasn't gotten it yet.

The C is the way to go, if you ask me

CES is next week. They'll be showing off all of the new tech for next year's TV's. There might be something you can't live without and want to wait for. There's also rumors of HDR monitors being announced :banderas:

There are actually quite a few 10 bit panels, verified experimentally, without the "SUHD" distinction. For Samsung, the "S" refers to the flagship UHD models, the quantum dots TVs come to mind. That is, it's just marketing and has nothing to do with panel bit. I'd presume it's something similar for LG.

KS6300 don't have wide colour gamut.

It does techically process HDR10.However for HDR to actually improve the image you need a wide color gamut. While this tv technically can process HDR it doesnt have a WCG so the HDR wont actually improve the image.Only expensive high-end tvs which do have a WCG have wonderful HDR which improves the image quality of HDR content.

there are two different types of HDR premiums, one is the fake HDR and the other is the real deal. the fake one is called HDR premium and the real HDR is called ultra HDR premium. anything that can read HDR data can be called HDR premium but in order to be called ultra HDR premium you have to meet certain requirements. this TV is not a true ultra HDR TV.

UHD is fake 4k HDR

SUHD is real 4k HDR

Fake 4k tv is just to upsell a TV you better off getting a good 1080p TV than waste your time

Unless the Samsung model number is KS8000 and above then it's not real 4k

I'm copping the E. The E >>. Also. Don't sleep on the B its just as good of a picture as the C6. Only real difference in the panel is it isn't curved and it doesn't have 3D. That's about it. But u step up to the E6 or G6 and they ain't curved either.

Samsung 8000 and up is the real HDR. Lol. The 7000 is technically a real 4KTV.

If u gonna get one u might as well grab the 8000. Lowest input lag of any TV on the market for gaming. That by itself makes it worth the purchase imo.

Yeah it's worth it. Take the flagship tv and if you're looking at any TV more than 2 models below it don't bother.
