4th Disciple and Killarmy Artist Shogun Assason Release New Never Heard EP From The 90's Entitled "Chronicles of An AssaSon"
August 5, 1997 Wu-Tang affiliate group Killarmy released its debut album "Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars". The album sold over 400,000 copies and blessed the Top 40 Billboard charts in 1997. In the mist of developing their Sophomore album, 4th Disciple and Shogun AssaSon was in the lab building Shogunโs solo album then entitled โWorld Full of Hatredโ. The solo album was placed on hold as the group released "Dirty Weaponry" in 1998 and followed up with their final group album "Fair Love and War" released on 9/11.
Since the 2001 release of "Fair Love and War", 4th Disciple has maintained relevancy by releasing various indie projects including material from his โUnreleased Classics Collection Seriesโ. In addition, 4th has had various production placements over the years. His most recent production was featured on the Wu-Tang Clan album "A Better Tomorrow" and Method Man's upcoming album entitled "The Meth Lab".
In June 2015, Sonic Ministry and Global Sounds Records via eOne Distribution will release 4th Disciple and Killarmy's Shogun AssaSonโs collaboration entitled "Chronicles of an AssaSon". This project is produced by 4th Disciple with the exception of "Bump" produced by Shogun AssaSon. All songs are cut and remastered from the original masters recorded in the late 90's. The records are part of an โUnreleased Classics Collection Seriesโ. This is an unreleased catalog of vaulted material produced and recorded by 4th Disciple over the years. In recent years several piracy issues have delayed the release of this EP and various other works by the legendary producer.
There is also a discussion of a limited edition CD version of the EP to be available exclusively through Amazon.com. Keep your ears to the street and follow "Chronicles of an Assason" on social media and various online sites. For interviews contact admin@sonicmisistry.com.
