How you figure? They put Reigns with a bunch of great, seasoned workers that are tasked with carrying him and putting him over, they also come up with a bunch of transparent fukkery to get Roman rests during long matches because he cant otherwise wrestle long matches, they sell and protect his finishers, have him win clean, everyone is specifically told to make Roman look strong, all in an effort to convince people that he's good. You watch all this and come to the conclusion that he's good, but it has nothing to do with WWE's plans to do exactly that?![]()
Actually the finishes to his matches are one of things I don't like about him. Probably because I hate the spear as finisher.
Putting your next big star against talented workers is exactly what they should do, that's the only way a 4 year wrestler is gonna learn how to become good. And he has does exactly that. 2013 and most of 2014 Roman wasn't all that good in the ring and he also had singles matches against talented people during that period (including Daniel Bryan). By 2015 he learned how to make a decent comeback, how to use facial expressions and how to sell, those are three things I like about the guy and don't have much to do with what you saying. I could care less he's made to look strong. I've liked what I've seen from him against Show and Wyatt too and those aren't elite at anything at this point. Brock hasn't had a singles match nearly as good as the one he had at Mania against Roman, same with Sheamus.
I'm not saying Roman is elite, I'm saying the dude is good. And a good worker is gonna have great matches when he's paired with talented people and they are given time. The notion that he's been carried so many times is funny as fukk because I've never read that excuse about anyone else. When someone is having entertaining matches against such a variety of opponents people tend to give that wrestler the benefit of the doubt at least
