Nah canelo just saying he’s seen everything David has in the ring already. Saying all he has is size and nothing else. Basically calling him basic. David’s only chance in this fight is canelo gassing out. That’s it. And everybody knows it. Cause he can’t box tit for tat with canelo. He can’t match his power either.

David is nothing special. And the Caleb fight proved that. You seen that work rate go way down when he had somebody who could move. After plant started gassing David finally started opening up. He was down on 2 of the 3 scorecards after 6 rounds. even Andrade managed to catch him with a few bombs but he’s got pillow fists. When canelo catches him we’ll see if he’s that same guy.

So it's a moot point

2. So if Benavidez is nothing special, then why did Canelo fight John Rider, undersized Jermell Charlo, and Mungia? They can be considered "nothing special" if you are calling Benavidez nothing special. Isn't Benavidez more deserving then the people I just named. Why are you acting like it didn’t just come out that pbc signed canelo to a 3 fight deal to fight both Charlo’s and Errol Spence?….that was the contract. PBC did not have David included in the available names.

As of this point pbc has not made a single offer to canelo to fight David. So you gotta get answers from pbc for why that is.
…..its not canelo’s job to make this happen. PBC is David’s promoter and as of now they’ve made zero effort to make that fight for him. Canelo himself said he never received an offer. But Canelo was still able to break the contract, threaten to leave to another promotional company, and sign a 1 fight deal to fight Mungia. Canelo literally moved his weight around to get the Mungia fight on May 4th. So all of a sudden he can't do the same and make a fight with Benevidez?

Once again. NOBODY made canelo an offer to fight David. Is he supposed to make an offer to himself? …..that’s why canelo said Sampson is nobody to offer him anything. He said if a real promoter wants to step up and show me a real offer let’s do it. How is it canelo’s fault that David’s promoter hasn’t sent him an offer?….why did pbc not include David in that 3 fight deal if they were really serious about making the fight?….show me any legit source that canelo was ever offered a Benavidez fight by pbc.

It's clear that Canelo believes the Benavidez fight is worth beyond his usual 30,40+ mil guarantee, and I don't blame him at all lol.

He's doing a great job of goading the boxing public and Benavidez into clamoring for the fight incessantly, and he's going to get paid a pretty penny for doing so.

I'm optimistic about the fight happening, although there's going to be some TOUGH negotiations to be had. Guarantees, rehydration clauses.. shyt, I can even imagine them pushing it to May of next year.

If they don't get the details ironed out, I can imagine an Mbilli or Berlanga (God fukking forbid) coming into play for September. At the very least, you KNOW those rumors are going to start spreading if Canelo doesn't explicitly say he's fighting David in September.

For the time being, this Munguía fight should be fun as long as it lasts.
