Those arguments are meh at best. I have my own top ways..
1. The development of the automobile and highway system which lead to white people moving to the suburbs - After WW2, white people flocked to the burbs to get away from dark skinned people and took their tax dollars with them. Don't need to explain the rest.
2. Black people feeling the need to be on the same level as whites defined their motivation in life - black people have fought for inclusion for so long they didn't know what it was like to be truly self reliant. Even black businesses back then used white people as the measuring stick for success.
3. Cocaine and Crack - The introduction of drugs and subsequent war on drugs contributed greatly to mass incarceration.
These three events have all become interconnected today. And it took decades for these events to be planted, nurtured and cultivated.
