I live here and this happened on the east side of Cleveland in an area where literally no yt people live. Cleveland is extremely segregated from decades of redlining.

And they charging the 2 oldest kids for their part in the crime.

Good they are charging two of the kids. All three should be charged as juveniles and punished appropriately, calling for the deaths of these children is overboard.

I'm for holding the parents to some accountability, but unsure to what degree. Definitely not imprisonment, though.

Whoever the adults watching the little girl while her mom was away should feel awful. Why is your 5-year old in a position where she can go along with other kids, anywhere? I have three daughters ages 8, 7, and 4. I have strict rules to outside play, and only started letting them play outside, a year or so ago. Been drilling specific messages into them for a long time, but this also goes for the 8, 9, 10 year olds parents. My oldest daughter is 8. She is not allowed to just hang with the neighborhood kids or go wherever the fukk she wants, and the kids in my complex in this 4-10 range, there are definitely a ton of em who be out and about unsupervised all the time.

(Just earlier Saturday night there were a grip of em sitting outside my place on one of those electrical boxes, on the phone, using all kinds of "mf" and "b.a.n" curses)...not my kids so I kept it pushing but these are young, prepubescent kids. My daughters do not roll with them when they are with me.

So I see all the time that there are too many parents who let these young kids out unsupervised. This is a sad, troubling case all around.

Which is a horrible compromise. Charging only some of them will jeopardize the entire case. Because in the court of law , the older kids can very easily say that they weren't the ones that did the more heinous crimes . Since the younger kids are untouchable, anything they put on them won't stick. And because they're all minors none of this will be on their permanent records.

I totally see an Ending where the older kids get off on the simple assault charge Because only circumstantial evidence would link the older kids to the more heinous charges. It would be very hard for prosecutor to link them directly to every single crime with a group of actors. Evenmoreso because the 5yr old was sexually assaulted by an inanimate object, meaning no direct dna linkage to the older kids.

Thus Court would be a game of [he said vs she said] with the prosecutor. I wouldn't be surprised if some of The younger kids parents testified in support of the two older kids , blaming their own immune kids. And I'm 99% sure the mother won't allow her child to come and testify, which would be the only way to seal the case with an eye witness. So it's highly likely that the prosecutor will pursue a lenient plea deal to get any charges to stick at all.


I think the only way this could have actually had consequences is If all the parents were charged in lieu of their children. It would be an open and shut case with expert psych witnesses that would say that no children think like this un less they have horrible parental influences .
