I hate when people say this, it's the wrong era to use that term when you're referring to the sales of an album.

Everyone knows that record sales have drastically decreased because of this new found availability to music.

If you look at his hits, they were pretty big and actually good songs. The lyrical content isn't so much there although it's decent but the overall aspect of writing a song was done well.

I think given in another era we could truly allow record sales to play a significant role in debates about rap music, but now a days guys get geeked if they go platinum.
