50's run was 2003 - 2005, short lived but it's the quality that matters. Those years were the most I've ever seen a rapper well known internationally. One diamond album, another album that went 6x plat, the clothing line, g unit sneakers, the hits, putting his g unit homie on and they had hits upon hits :wow: It was an incredible run.

I used to think like this until I went back and listened to the kannan tape . So much piff :ohlawd: I kept asking myself" how come I never heard this? :wtf:Why wasn't this a single?" :mindblown: POWER has changed the way I take in fiftys music. U gotta be in an aggressive mind frame to enjoy it and the hiphop game hadn't been that in a while.

Is this the biggest hot to irrelevant ratio in hip hop history?

Last hit was 2007's I Get Money

Ever since then
-20+ singles flopped
-last album sold 36k
-filed for bankruptcy
-SMS audio cost him $9M in a lawsuit
-50Central was a flop
-G-Unit reunion flopped

:ohhh:
As a G-unit Stan from 2003 this hurts
Careful, you’re gonna have his message board street team all fired up in here...

Massive influence on the mixtape shyt, two classics, g-unit, the fukkery with beef. And he isn't irrelevant now unless you have never watched power and hes doing another movie and TV show.

You gonna out modern relevant disposable rapper above 50?

Going gold with several classic mixtapes in 2002
Dropping one of the hottest songs ever released
Going almost Diamond with his classic debut
Introducing his own label and having his artists going plat and multi-plat
Having Jay retiring in 2003
Going almost Diamond with his sophomore album
Banking the biggest deal ever for a rapper until Dre sold Beats to Apple

Imagine the hate from these crab ass rappers

just for us to be talking about him 16 years after he blew up, means that he isnt as irrelevant as some of us might think.
some shyt creates an everlasting impression. thats what 50 did...

from the music side, after he "fell off", i enjoy a lot of his work, like the big 10 mixtape, war angel, and some 2014 joints from the unit reunion. his body of work is just too big now for him to fall into oblivion and be forgotten.

wanna an example of nikkas from after his era ( his era kind of endede around 06/07, and these nikkas appeared around this time) that are actually irrelevant? young joc, mims, rich boy, just to name a few.

nowdays we hear more of lloyd banks, than some of this nikkas.

so hate him or love him, his name is cemented. thats why still in 2018 we have so many threads on the coli, and every once in a while, major media outlets are happy to have him on tv shows...
its too late to hate
