Its obvious these kind of initiatives are not judged on their results, but on their intentions.

The war on Poverty & Drugs are both failures in their own right. Do we have a 'war on Education' going on right now also? Healthcare? Jobs? Seems like the US fails at winning a lot of internal 'wars'.

the main lesson to learn is that there is nothing peculiar about the state of black people, imo its clearly shown that attitudes toward education is one of the main determinants of prosperity, that is what needs to be addressed
