2008 was actually a very good year. The others just had a few good things here and there, like most post 03 years.

09- The whole build to WM, mainly the Orton vs HHH stuff. That's about it.

2010- Build to WM was good. Hbk/Taker and Cena/Batista mainly. Nexus was good later that year.

2011- Cena vs Rock feud was great. Punks shoot gimmick was good for a couple months. Tough Enough was great.

I agree on the WM buildups during these years being A-1. It feels like when The Rock came back and the part timers invaded the WWE stopped giving a fukk about proper Mania buildups and just relied on star and name power

For the most part, yea. Last years show and Mania 30 (even though the actual show ended up great) were definitely examples of that. I think they built 31 well though.

It definitely was something different and could have had real legs if they didn't feed him to Cena with the quickness. The night of the turn was classic fukkery (in a good way)

No matter what, when Rock came back, the crowds went absolute nuts for all the segments..shows sold out for weeks after his initial return. That didn't happen for Lesnar or any Taker return and of course not for Cripple H.
