Tank is still a bigger star and has all the negotiating leverage. Those belts are just titles but when it comes to prizefighting, it depends on revenue-generation not accolades. Truth be told, Tank at this moment is a much better fighter than both. They don’t have the power to keep Tank off of them.
So you're basically saying Tank is like Ryan Garcia then. That is what you're telling me. He may pass the eye test but he hasn't accomplished what Shakur or Devin is doing.

I tell you this. If you put Davis v Garcia and Haney v Stevenson both on PPV (you can have HvS on regular ESPN if you like) on the same time and night, which fight is going to garner more money and viewership?

What fight will have more stars in attendance?

They had that fight in Australia because it wasn’t going to do well at the box office to justify the purses. The Australian government put up the money themselves for that fight.

Ring IQ. Tank is classically trained, has a chin that’s been tested, he’s just as fast, and he has one-punch power.
That's fair.

However i believe you are confusing Haney's defensive 'bank the rounds' score on the outside and clinch/stop momentum on the inside for a weakness because it's boring by prizefighting standards.

That being said, Tank got the left hand, i don't see him dominating a fight with Haney necessarily however. That's not an easy fight for either. Fight will never happen probably though.

Great performance from Haney, happy for his success, it was his most mature display to date.

I see Haney made a lot of folks mad on social media, still not giving him his props. Which is weird enough cause he never gave a reason to be hated with his behavior and coming off a great win at 23 yrs old. Put some respect on his name

It was more or less a schooling. Kambosos was not giving up but he looked lost in most of these rounds. He won 2 rounds imo, 118-110. Those who say they don’t understand why Kambosos “chose” this strategy might have misunderstood who Kambosos is. He didn’t choose it, he just gave himself, the thing he knows, dude thrives on flurries in the pocket, at his best when he can counter. Haney denied him that possibility most of the night.

I guess he activates the clause cause what else is out there for him that’s better than undisputed but rematches tend to favor the boxers, it just gonna get uglier for Kambosos.

Yeah, nothing on the outside, nothing on the inside. Haney took away Kambo's aim to get inside, three punch combos by his usual great clinching or timed pivot. Took away the overhand right by simple, smart moves to left or right. No jab from Kambosos due to range control/counter from Haney. Kambosos doesn't really have much else going on outside of the above. Not sure how he beats an opponent like that without something completely different altogether outside of his usual DNA.

On that showing i believe Kambosos got more of a chance against Lomachenko tbh. At least he has a chance at counters and a better size comparison/non differential. Not saying he beats Lomachenko at all, just saying he has more of a chance there.

You’re talking about accomplishments. The point we both know I made is titles are secondary when it comes to prizefighting. You know damn well you’ll watch a Tank fight over Haney, Shakur, or both together. You just would. :yeshrug:

They had the fight in Melbourne because Kambosos wanted the fight in Melbourne. If he didn't want the fight in Melbourne then it would have happened with DAZN/Hearn/Di Bella in Las Vegas. Those negotiations fell through.

The Melbourne govt helped provide tax incentives (aka 80% offshore tax deduction) for Di Bella/Top Rank and helped extensively with infrastructure. They did not 'put up the money' as you've suggested.

That’s putting money up. Not the purses but all the things you mentioned costs.

I disagree. Tank is nice enough to get in there and work around the jab.

Anyone knows what happens if Haney doesn’t honor the rematch?? Maybe Kambosos team tries to sue or something I guess. But I think the rematch clause is between the camps - nothing to do with TR or the networks.

There’s some solid fights to be made at 135 without Devin and klownbosos anyways so it really doesn’t matter if they have to rematch in the fall again I guess. One would hope that all those belts being tied up will have these other guys face each other for a shot at them next year.

The funny thing is I've seen 2 out of the 3 live and uncut, have met and had convos with them. I'll let you figure out who I havent gone out of my way to see. :heh:. I prolly spend more money on boxing than anybody and fights with Rolly, Cruz, or Barrios dont move me. The same exact reason why I havent cared to watch Ryan Garcia outside of my DAZN sub. They are underachieving in their primes. It is what it is. Drawing 275K on PPV and holding regular titles says nothing to me
