After two extremely close and record-breaking fights, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will square off for a third time for Taylor's undisputed super lightweight championship on July 11 and headline a historic all-women's boxing card at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The event, promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions, will be streamed live on Netflix.

"It's only fitting that during Women's History Month that we are able to announce this must-see trilogy between two of the greatest female athletes of all time, on an all-women's card," Jake Paul said to ESPN.

"Unlike many new and old incumbents in boxing, MVP has, does and will always champion women as equals to men, treating them with supreme respect and we will never compromise on those values," MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said. "This all-women's card is not only a testament to how far the sport has come but also the beginning of an even greater push from MVP to elevate the next generation of female fighters."

Taylor and Serrano's previous two encounters were history-making events. Their initial meeting happened on April 30, 2022, and was the first time women headlined a fight card at Madison Square Garden. Taylor won a close split decision in front of a sold-out crowd. The rematch served as chief support of Paul's blockbuster showdown with former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on Nov. 15, 2024. Taylor successfully defended her undisputed super lightweight titles with a controversial unanimous decision over Serrano.

Their rematch was streamed on Netflix and shattered records with 74 million average viewers globally, becoming the most-watched women's sporting event in U.S. history and was named the 2024 Women's Fight of the Year by ESPN.

"After we finished the fight on Nov. 15, Netflix came to us and said they wanted to do more with Most Valuable Promotions," Bidarian told ESPN. "The one thing they were absolutely clear on is that they wanted to see this trilogy and we came back to them with the idea of doing an all-women's event that would really uplift the women of the sport on their platform with over 300 million global subscribers. They bought in immediately."

Like Paul-Tyson, Netflix will stream the blockbuster event on a Friday night. The all-women's undercard will be announced at a later date.

"Madison Square Garden has been home to the biggest boxing matches in history -- including the 'Fight of the Century,' and the 2022 bout between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano," said Joel Fisher, executive vice president, marquee events and operations for MSG Entertainment. "We are proud to welcome these extraordinary athletes back to 'The World's Most Famous Arena' for another historic moment with our first-ever all-female professional boxing card."

Fighting out of Ireland, Taylor, 38, is ranked No. 2 on ESPN's pound-for-pound list and has been undisputed in two weight classes. After beginning her professional career 22-0, she suffered her first loss when she moved up to super lightweight and lost to then-undisputed champion Chantelle Cameron in May 2023. She avenged the loss in a rematch later that year to become undisputed and successfully defended against Serrano last November.

"I'm 2-0 against Amanda but it's obviously a very special rivalry that delivers every time we step in the ring, so I think it's only right that we have the trilogy," said Taylor (24-1, 6 KOs). "The atmosphere for the first fight there was amazing and I'm sure it won't be any different this time around."

Fighting out of Puerto Rico, Serrano, 36, is ranked No. 3 on ESPN's pound for pound list. She holds the Guinness World Record for the most boxing world championships won in different weight-classes by a female, having held nine major world titles across seven different weight classes. Since suffering a decision loss in 2012, Serrano has gone 33-2-1 with her only two losses coming against Taylor. But the competitive nature of those losses warranted a third fight.

"I promised my fans they would see this trilogy, and I'm incredibly grateful that we get to complete our journey where it all began -- at Madison Square Garden, live on Netflix for the world to see," said Serrano (47-3-1, 31 KOs).

The first two bouts were 10, two-minute rounds, the standard in women's boxing, and the third fight will be the same. However, Serrano has openly pushed for 12, three-minute rounds for the third fight to be equal to men's championship fights. According to Serrano, the two fighters were unable to come to an agreement for 12 three-minute rounds in the third fight.

"I'm disappointed that Katie Taylor did not keep her word and make the trilogy 12 three-minute rounds, equal to the men," said Serrano. "This is a record-setting payday for both of us, and we owed it to the fans to honor the handshake deal we made. She didn't. But make no mistake, every time we share the ring, it is war, and I know Friday, July 11, will be the greatest yet because I will finally get the official 'W' I deserve."

Alycia_Baumgardner_vs_Jennifer_Miranda.jpg

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Netflix today announced that MVP’s reigning undisputed super featherweight champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) returns to the ring to face undefeated WBA Interim world champion, Spain’s Jennifer Miranda (12-0, 1 KO) in the co-main event of the highly anticipated Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 trilogy bout. Baumgardner vs. Miranda, a 10-round undisputed super featherweight championship fight contested at 130 lbs, will co-headline the first-ever all women’s professional boxing card at the iconic venue, airing live on Netflix as MVP continues its commitment to elevating women in the sport. This historic MVP event will stream live globally, exclusively on Netflix at no additional cost to its 300+ million subscribers on Friday, July 11 from Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City.

Alycia Baumgardner and Jennifer Miranda will be in attendance at MVP’s Taylor vs. Serrano 3 kickoff press conference on Wednesday, April 9 at 6pm at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. All media wishing to attend the press conference must apply for media credentials HERE. Presale begins on Tuesday, April 8 at 12pm ET. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, April 9 at 12pm ET. Pre-sale ticket signups are available here.

MVP’s new signee, reigning undisputed super featherweight world champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) is one of the most electrifying superstars in boxing today and one of the most dominant athletes in the sport. Born in Fremont, Ohio, and of German, Korean, and African-American descent, she has built a career defined by power, precision, and resilience. Her success is fueled not only by her relentless work ethic but also by her deep faith, which guides her journey both in and out of the ring. Baumgardner turned professional in 2017, making an immediate impact with a first-round TKO victory. In November 2021, she shocked the boxing world by knocking out Terri Harper in Sheffield, England, to claim the WBC and IBO World Titles. She continued her rise, securing wins over Edith Matthysse and Mikaela Mayer in October 2022, adding the WBO and IBF belts to her collection. In February 2023, she became undisputed, defeating Elhem Mekhaled in New York to claim the WBA title. In July 2023, Baumgardner avenged her only career loss with a dominant win over Christina Linardatou in Detroit, successfully defending her undisputed crown. She returned in September 2024 against Delfine Persoon, scoring an early knockdown before an accidental clash of heads led to a no-contest ruling. Outside the ring, Baumgardner is breaking barriers for women, proving that skill, strength, and marketability can coexist at the highest level. Her faith remains at the center of everything she does, keeping her grounded and focused on the bigger picture. With an unshakable mindset and a purpose greater than herself, she continues to push the sport forward, building a legacy that extends far beyond the championship belts. Known for her explosive power, technical skill, and relentless determination, Baumgardner has been calling for big fights against the sport’s elite, and her upcoming 10-round undisputed title defense against Miranda on Friday, July 11 now promises to deliver just that.

“I came to MVP for moments like this—high stakes, global stage, and the chance to show the world who I really am,” said Alycia Baumgardner. “Amanda and Katie have done incredible things for women’s boxing, and it’s an honor to share the card with them. But I didn’t come to stand beside greatness—I came to be it. This night, this spotlight—it’s mine. Jennifer Miranda, I hope you’re ready—because I’m the one they warn you about. The pretty face with bad intentions. When that bell rings, it’s not personal, but it is going to hurt. My belts are staying with me. And still.”

WBA Interim world champion Jennifer Miranda (12-0, 1 KO) is undefeated so far in her pro career, currently ranked by Boxrec as the #3 featherweight in the world. She started boxing at age 23 while at university, quickly proving herself worthy of a spot on the Spanish national team. In her amateur career, she became a nine-time consecutive Spanish national champion, won multiple international titles, and represented Spain at high-level competitions, ranking among the top nine in the world, establishing herself as a pioneer of women’s boxing in Spain. Miranda then made her professional debut in 2018, quickly establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with, competing for the then-vacant Spanish featherweight title in just her second pro fight. She defeated Jessica Sanchez by unanimous decision and successfully defended the title against Vanesa Caballero in 2019, becoming the first woman in history to defend the Spanish national title. Miranda became the WBA’s Gold champion before stepping up to face Panamanian Teresa Almengor in her most recent professional October 2024, coming away victorious with a unanimous decision and becoming the new WBA interim world champion in her sixth title fight out of her twelve pro fights to date. Alongside boxing, Miranda has completed two bachelor’s degrees and two master's degrees including an MBA, and is currently pursuing another degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Miranda is also an accomplished actress who is best known for her role as ‘Arteche’ in Netflix’s global smash-hit series Money Heist. The 38-year old trains out of The Boxer Club in Madrid, Spain with coach Javier Pardo, and is managed by Sergio Pérez.

“MVP is leading the charge in elevating women’s boxing, and I am grateful to be a part of this historic all-women's event in one of the most iconic arenas in the world—Madison Square Garden,” said Jennifer Miranda. “Alycia Baumgardner is an incredible champion, but this is my opportunity to become the first ever undisputed champion from Spain and I will do so. It’s time to write my name in the history books of boxing. Undisputed.”

“Alycia Baumgardner now has the stage to show the world why she is The Most Valuable fighter in the sport,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. “But Jennifer Miranda is another world-class athlete who has been waiting for the opportunity to demonstrate why she is one of the best in boxing. This is a world-class matchup between two elite athletes, and we’re thrilled to showcase it as the co-main event of this historic night. The future of women’s boxing is now, and MVP is proud to lead the charge in taking the sport to unprecedented heights. A huge thank you to Netflix and Madison Square Garden for sharing our vision and helping make this moment possible.”

Another great fight, Taylor will Sinatra tap dance all over heavy bag Serrano once again.

Instead of crying like a weak loser, her coach should teach her how to return her guard to where it needs to go after throwing?

Amateur hour fighter and coach.

Interesting third fight.

Taylor could avoid a lot of punishment and probably cruise to unanimous every time if she fought off the back foot and hopped in and out with that three piece she's so good at, instead she always tries to bang it out?

Ross Enamait is a great trainer and knows his boxing, they always end up falling into Serrano's one and only attribute, toe to toe.

SAVANNAH MARSHALL VS. SHADASIA GREEN UNIFIED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, CHANTELLE CAMERON VS. JESSICA CAMARA INTERIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, AND RAMLA ALI VS. LILA FURTADO ROUND OUT MOST VALUABLE PROMOTIONS’ TAYLOR VS. SERRANO 3 WOMEN’S MEGACARD ON FRIDAY, JULY 11 AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IN NEW YORK CITY, LIVE GLOBALLY ON NETFLIX

MVP’s Taylor vs. Serrano 3 main card consists entirely of women’s undisputed and unified world championships and will now feature five of the top ten and three of the top four women’s pound-for-pound fighters in the world on Boxrec

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Netflix today announced that IBF super middleweight world champion Savannah “The Silent Assassin” Marshall will take on WBO super middleweight world champion Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green in a highly anticipated 10 round, 168lbs world title unification bout on the main card of MVP’s Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano trilogy megafight, joining the first all-women’s card in Madison Square Garden history on Friday, July 11, streaming live globally to 300+ million subscribers on Netflix. The bout marks the culmination of years of rivalry between Marshall and Green, both now signed under MVP’s women’s banner, rounding out MVP’s Taylor vs. Serrano 3 main card, consisting entirely of women’s unified and undisputed championship fights.

On the preliminary card will be MVP’s new signee, former undisputed champion and current WBC interim world champion Chantelle “Il Capo” Cameron (20-1, 8 KOs) will face Canada’s Jessica “The Cobra” Camara (14-4-1, 3 KOs) in a 10-round women’s WBC interim super lightweight championship bout at 140lbs. Rounding out the card will be MVP’s multi-talented Somali-British boxer, activist, and high fashion model Ramla Ali (9-2, 2 KO) vs. Sao Paulo, Brazil’s Lila Furtado (11-2, 2 KOs) in an 8-round super bantamweight bout at 122lbs. MVP’s Taylor vs. Serrano 3 will now feature five of the top ten and three of the top four women’s pound-for-pound fighters in the world on Boxrec.

IBF and Ring Magazine super middleweight world champion Savannah “The Silent Assassin” Marshall (13-1, 10 KOs) is a two-weight world champion, formerly the undisputed super middleweight world champion in 2023 at 168lbs and WBO middleweight champion from 2020 to 2022 at 160lbs. Before turning pro, Marshall made history as Britain’s first-ever female amateur world champion in 2012, handing Claressa Shields the only defeat of her career on her way to the gold. In October 2022, she headlined the first-ever all-female boxing card in the UK against Claressa Shields, attracting a record-breaking audience of over two million viewers, the largest live TV audience for a women’s sporting event in Sky Sports history. Following the bout, Marshall moved up to super middleweight at 168 lbs, defeating Franchón Crews-Dezurn in July 2023 to become the undisputed super middleweight world champion.

“Defending my IBF and Ring Magazine belt in a unification fight with Shadasia Green, on an all-women’s card such as this, is a great way to start my new journey with MVP,” said Savannah Marshall. “There are so many great women on one show at the iconic Madison Square Garden, and I’m beaming that I can play my part in it. Cannot wait for Friday, July 11th!”

MVP’s super middleweight powerhouse Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green (14-1, 11 KOs) makes her third world title fight appearance against Savannah Marshall on Friday, July 11. Green, the former standout college basketball star and Team USA boxing silver medalist from Patterson, NJ, joined MVP in January 2023. Shortly after, Green defeated former unified world champion Elin Cederroos with a vicious sixth-round TKO, marking the first and only time Cederroos was ever stopped in her career. Headlining the preliminary card of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson in November 2024, Green defeated Melinda Watpool to become MVP’s first homegrown champion and the new WBO world champion at 168lbs.

“I am really excited about fighting Savannah Marshall, who has accomplished a lot in the sport. We are two hard-punching world champions who will put everything on the line,” said Shadasia Green. “I’m looking forward to putting on a great show, and I’m certain that Marshall will bring the best out of me on Friday, July 11.“

Former undisputed super lightweight champion at 140lbs and current WBC interim world super lightweight champion Chantelle “Il Capo” Cameron (20-1, 8 KOs) is one of the most recognized names in women’s boxing. Cameron made her pro boxing debut in May 2017 and earned her first title honors in December 2017, her fifth pro fight, winning the IBO 135lb lightweight world title by stoppage. In 2020, Cameron moved up to 140lbs to contend for the then-vacant WBC super lightweight world title, defeating Adriana Dos Santos Araujo to become a two-division champion. Cameron unified her titles against Mary McGee in October 2021, earning a UD win to add the IBF and Ring Magazine titles to her WBC hardware. In November 2022, Cameron defeated Jessica McCaskill to become the undisputed super lightweight champion at 140 lbs. Cameron’s undisputed reign came to head against Ireland’s Katie Taylor in May 2023, when she successfully defended her undisputed crown. The win set the stage for the pair’s rematch in November 2023, which resulted in a majority decision for Taylor. Cameron returned to the ring in July 2024, defeating Elhem Mekhaled to secure the WBC interim super lightweight title at 140lbs, which she defended in November 2024 and now will defend again on Friday, July 11. Cameron is currently ESPN’s #4 and Boxrec’s #8 pound-for–pound women’s boxer in the world, resides in Northampton, England and trains under Stephen Smith.

“To box at Madison Square Garden in New York is a dream come true for me, and the fact that I’m facing a good opponent will bring out the best in me,” said Chantelle Cameron. “Friday, July 11 is a huge night of female boxing from MVP and I'm honoured to be part of it.”

Jessica “The Cobra” Camara (14-4-1, 3 KOs) is a 5’6” Canadian professional boxer born in Cambridge, Ontario. Before turning pro, Camara’s distinguished amateur career saw her earn titles at the 2014 United Golden Gloves, the 2015 Canadian Amateur Elite Championships, and the 2016 Brampton Cup before winning her pro debut in March 2017against Heidy Martinez. Camara’s career highlights include a significant win against former world champion Heather Hardy in May 2021 and a closely contested split decision loss to Kali Reis in November 2021 for the WBA, IBO, and vacant WBO super lightweight titles. Camara captured the WBA lightweight Gold title in April 2024 by defeating the previously unbeaten Choi Hyun-mi in South Korea. She most recently fought to a technical draw against WBC and IBO lightweight champion Caroline Dubois.

“Friday, July 11 is a historic night for women’s boxing, and I’m grateful to be part of it,” said Jessica “The Cobra” Camara. “Sharing the ring with a champion like Chantelle Cameron is an honor. I’m locked in, focused, and ready to leave it all in the ring.”

Ramla Ali (9-2, 2 KO) is a 35-year-old Somali-British professional boxer, philanthropist, high-fashion model, and social activist. Born in Somalia, Ali and her family fled the country following the loss of her brother in a grenade attack and civil unrest. At age 12, she took up boxing in secret to overcome bullying and obesity, becoming the first Muslim woman to win national amateur boxing titles in England in 2015 and 2016 before making history as the first female boxer to represent Somalia at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She made her pro debut in October 2020, winning the vacant IBF Intercontinental title at Madison Square Garden in New York in 2023 in just her 8th pro fight before winning the WBA International super bantamweight title in a hard-fought rematch against Mexico’s Julissa Alejandra Guzman later that year. A passionate advocate for women’s rights and women in boxing, Ali established the Somali Boxing Federation in Mogadishu, Somalia. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the fight for women’s equality, Ali was one of twelve extraordinary leaders named among TIME’s 2023 Women of the Year.

"I'm thrilled to announce my return to the ring against Lila Furtado under the MVP banner,” said Ramla Ali. “After taking time to refine my skills and recalibrate my approach, I feel stronger and more focused than ever. This past year away from competition has been challenging but necessary—it's reignited the fire that first drew me to boxing. Working with John Ryder and Tony Simms has completely transformed my approach to the sport, and their combined expertise has helped me develop as a fighter. Furtado is an extremely worthy opponent with impressive skills, but with my new training team behind me, I'm ready to demonstrate the evolution in my game. MVP has created an incredible platform for women's boxing, and I'm honored to be part of this movement. July 11th at Madison Square Garden isn't just my comeback fight—it's a statement that I'm here to keep my place among the elite."

Lila Furtado (11-2, 2 KOs) is a former three-time Brazilian super bantamweight champion at 122lbs from Guarulhos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Furtado’s impressive resume glitters with notable victories including defeating Paola Pamela Benavidez to win the vacant WBC Latino super bantamweight title in June 2022 and the UBO World Title against Bestalia Sanchez in April 2023. Most recently, Furtado defeated Gisele Libanio by unanimous decision in December 2024.

“I’m very grateful for this opportunity—we see all the exposure MVP is providing for female fighters and they have shown they are the home for the elite female boxers across the globe,” said Lila Furtado. “I’m training very hard for this fight with Ramla, as I know this fight can give me the keys to more opportunities with MVP. I’m training with world-level fighters in Brazil, preparing very hard. I’m excited to have the opportunity, and I will give everything to get this victory for myself, but also for my country. Above all, I am excited to be involved in a great fight on the biggest stage.”

“This is the most ambitious and historic card MVP has ever delivered—a stacked lineup of elite women’s championship fights on the most iconic stage in combat sports, Madison Square Garden, live on Netflix,” said Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. “The card features an unprecedented level of global talent, including three of the top four and five of the top ten pound for pound fighters in the world. That’s like having Canelo, Gervonta, Crawford, Inoue and Uysk on the same card – well, we have it for the women and it’s going to be incredible. With five world title fights—three unified and two undisputed—Friday, July 11 will not only be a defining night for MVP as the leader in women’s boxing, but a pivotal moment for the sport as a whole.”

Marshall vs. Green, Cameron vs. Camara, and Ali vs. Furtado join a massively decorated card of women’s stars, topped by the trilogy megafight rematch of Ireland’s pound-for-pound great, undisputed super lightweight champion Katie Taylor (24-1, 6 KOs) and Brooklyn’s Puerto Rican boxing trailblazer, unified featherweight world champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (47-3-1, 31 KOs). In the co-main event, MVP’s reigning undisputed super featherweight champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) will face undefeated WBA Interim world champion, Spain’s Jennifer Miranda (12-0, 1 KO), a 10-round undisputed super featherweight championship fight contested at 130 lbs. Also on the main card, MVP and England’s unified super bantamweight champion Ellie Scotney (10-0) will face Mexico’s WBC super bantamweight world champion Yamileth “Yeimi” Mercado (24-3, 5 KOs) in a women’s unified championship fight at 122 lbs.

On the preliminary card, MVP’s Danish two-weight world champion, reigning unified bantamweight world champion, and Boxrec’s #1 pound-for-pound female boxer Dina Thorslund (23-0, 9 KOs) will take on MVP’s IBF bantamweight world champion Shurretta “Chiccn” Metcalf (14-4-1, 2 KOs) in a 10-round women’s world title unification bout contested at 118 lbs. Also on the preliminary card will be MVP’s two-time Canadian Olympian, amateur world champion, and standout middleweight Tamm Thibeault (2-0, 1 KO), continuing to fight every bout in her pro career under equal rules to men, three-minute rounds, in an 8 round bout against the WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF’s #1 contender Mary Casamassa (6-0, 2 KOs), contested at 160 lbs.

DINA THORSLUND WITHDRAWS TO WELCOME SECOND CHILD; AUSTRALIA’S TWO-WEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION CHERNEKA “ SUGAR NEEKZ” JOHNSON STEPS IN TO FACE SHURRETTA METCALF FOR UNDISPUTED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ON MVP’S TAYLOR VS. SERRANO 3 AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN LIVE ON NETFLIX

Johnson signs a multi-year promotional agreement with MVP ahead of facing Metcalf for the undisputed bantamweight crown at 118lbs as Thorslund vacates her unified titles

Taylor vs. Serrano 3 event will see the highest number of total championship belts ever contested on a single fight card

NEW YORK, NY– Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced today that unified bantamweight world champion and BoxRec’s #1 pound-for-pound female boxer, Dina Thorslund (23-0, 9 KOs), has officially withdrawn from her highly anticipated title unification bout against MVP’s IBF bantamweight world champion Shurretta “Chiccn” Metcalf (14-4-1, 2 KOs) to welcome her second child. MVP’s 30-year-old Danish star was scheduled to make her global debut on the undercard of Taylor vs. Serrano 3 on Friday, July 11 at Madison Square Garden. The mega-event will feature the most world championship belts ever contested on a single fight card, male or female, with 21 world title belts contested across five fights on the card.

Replacing Thorslund in the world title bout will be MVP’s newest signee, reigning WBA bantamweight world champion Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson (17-2, 7 KOs). MVP and DiBella Entertainment, Inc., agreed to an arrangement, which allowed Johnson to enter into a multi-year promotional agreement with MVP. Born in Tauranga, New Zealand and fighting out of Gold Coast, Australia, Johnson is a two-weight world champion, currently the WBA bantamweight world champion and the former IBF super bantamweight world champion. She will face Metcalf in a 10-round world title showdown on the first-ever all-women’s professional boxing card at Madison Square Garden. This will be Johnson’s first bout in the United States and with a win on Friday, July 11th, she would become the first ever undisputed Australian champion in the four belt era.

Due to her pregnancy,Thorslund voluntarily relinquished her WBO Championship which was approved by the WBO and she requested and received the approval of the WBC to be designated as Champion in Recess. The now-vacant unified belts will remain on the line in addition to Johnson’s WBA and Metcalf’s IBF bantamweight titles, providing Johnson vs. Metcalf the opportunity to now battle for the undisputed crown at 118 lbs. on Friday, July 11. Upon her return to the ring Thorslund may request to be designated mandatory challenger to ensure she has the opportunity to challenge for the belts once she is ready.

“Life can be such a roller coaster, especially as a female boxer. I was really looking forward to this fight—the biggest moment of my career,” said Dina Thorslund. “Recently I found out I was pregnant, a curve I hadn't expected, but a joyous one. Even though the decision was easy, the athlete in me is sad, as I SO wanted to stand in that ring and make history on Friday, July 11. But I’ll be back! The fire that MVP has lit in me only burns even stronger, and when I do step back in the ring, there will be another little person that I can fight for and be a role model for. I plan to show my child that nothing is impossible if you work hard enough for it. Thank you to MVP, my sponsors, friends, family - your support and encouragement touches me deeply and only motivates me more. I hope all the boxers have a fantastic evening. I will be cheering from the sidelines, and I can only encourage the rest of the world to either take the trip to Madison Square Garden and experience the magic, or to tune in to watch history being made, live on Netflix.”

“It’s a dream come true to fight at Madison Square Garden!” said Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson. “This feels like a true 'pinch me' moment, being part of an all-women’s card headlined by the incredible Amanda Serrano vs Katie Taylor. Not only will I be defending my title, but I'll also become the undisputed champion! I’m truly looking forward to this next chapter—being part of Most Valuable Promotions, who are paving the way and shaping the future of women's boxing. The magnitude of this moment isn’t lost on me, and I’m ready to rise to it.”

“I’m about to make history as the first undisputed bantamweight champion — and I’m doing it from Dallas, Texas,” said Shurretta Metcalf. “Nothing in my career has come easy, but every fight, every sacrifice led to this moment. I was built for this. My time is now, and I will rise and conquer. MVP is the best promoter in the game, and together, we’re making legacy happen. This isn’t just a fight — this is a statement.”

“We are thrilled for Dina on the new addition to her family and send her our heartfelt congratulations,” said MVP co-founders Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul. “She’s a champion inside and outside the ring, and we fully support her decision to step away at this time. At MVP, our athletes are family, and there will always be a place for Dina on our roster whenever she’s ready to return. In the meantime, we’re excited to welcome Australia’s own Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson to MVP as she steps in to face Shurretta Metcalf for the title of Undisputed with every belt in the 118 lbs. division on the line. All of Australia should be tuning in to see if Neekz can become the first Aussie Undisputed champion, male or female, in the four-belt era of boxing. Thank you to the WBO and WBC for their stewardship in this process. Taylor vs. Serrano 3 represents fighters from Ireland, Puerto Rico, US, UK, Australia, Canada, Spain, Brazil, and Mexico, and will see the most world championship belts ever contested on a single fight card, with 9 current world champions competing for a combined 21 belts, making history in boxing and as the first all-women’s card at MSG, live globally on Netflix.”
