Jasper needs the W if they're going to keep his monster energy (no pun intended), losing to Oba wasn't a problem because it's Oba. Young OG size differential? That's a setback.

On the flip, Evans needs a signature W and this is tailor made for him: David vs Goliath classic wrestling booking. He's been buzzing with main event talent for a while but never has the trigger pulled. Wait too long and he'll end up like Wes Lee.

That Inamura loss was way less respectable than losing to the Young OG. Honestly, he shouldn't even be in the NXT title scene if they dont plan on putting the belt on him. In theory, Je'von can take the L and it won't damage his brand, but Je'von vs. Oba for the NXT title has been building up this whole time and is the perfect swan song for Oba and lift off point for Je'Von. Jasper vs. Oba carries no weight this early in Jasper's career.

Regardless, I think its too early for any of this to effect Jasper. He's got at least a year or maybe two of seasoning to go through and that's plenty of time to gain standing and solidify his character. Plus, your record in NXT doesn't matter when transitioning to the main roster. You basically start from scratch again.
