7 teams were 0-2 and made the playoffs last year

The 4% number may've been referring to a team starting 0-2 two and making the playoffs two years in a row. I know they stated that % during the broadcast, I just don't remember what the number was.

Even that's weird as 12% of 12% is like 1.4%. Must have been some additional caveat for that 4% number to apply like with most ESPN stats (Most pass completions by a left-handed QB with 7 letters in his last name during a full moon in the final 2 minutes of the 1st quarter of a Week 3 game since 1988:francis:)

Nah, I don't think they calculated a theoretical probability, they just looked at the number of teams that started 0-2 twice and made the playoffs twice versus the total number of teams that started 0-2 2 years in a row.


(But again I don't even remember the number...I actually was thinking they said it never happened. And now that dude said he heard the 4% on first take, which I didn't watch, I'm back to thinking they said it never happened)
