This is why some ppl don’t want new construction. Old houses were built so much better

Yup a lot of these new homes and condos are built like shyt. Cheaply made and falling apart in less than 5 years but on the outside, they all look trendy and “modern” and that’s what these builders and developers are finessing folks with and filing bankruptcies when shyt hits the fan. Seen this play out a lot in my city (Toronto) but I think this happening all over

I've had contractors out to the crib a few times recently doing some installs and every single one of them talked bad about new constructions when I started telling them the minor issues I was seeing at the house. They told me be glad I didn't get something brand new because people are having so many problems.

But, with that said, I'm sure inspections were completed and any of those kinds of repairs are covered for at least a year by the inspection warranty...
