I was one of the first homes built in my phase so I got to witness others homes built and yes it’s a shyt show. Those warranties do give some comfort. The alternative for some of us was to buy an older home and have to fix it up and spend 200k more than a new build. some of these old well built homes need serious updating and need massive repairs. Everybody don’t have 200k sitting around for renovations Or the additional income for a renovation loan. people said the same thing where I live about homes being built in the 90’s and they are still standing.
