I'm 35 now. Most of the men in my family didn't make to that age. Those who did can barely walk up the stairs w/o being winded. The others have heart conditions due to our shytty genes.
That's not going to be me. The top 3 causes of death for black men are accidents, homicides and heart disease in that order. Only one of those are almost entirely in our control. Don't stop moving.
I occasionally hit the gym with this 70 something year old dude i know, he aint super strong but he's in impeccable shape, mothafukka built like prime bruce lee + 10lbs of muscle. Watched him knock out dozens of pullups with a fukking 45lb weight on his belt like nothing the other day.
Dude's in better shape than 97+% of ppl ive ever seen in the gym and he was a got damn basehead for years. Being is almost always a got damn choice

I noticed a group of guys in their 40's, all obese, walking with a cane and it scared the hell out of me.
same day, I saw a nurse talking about seeing so many black men her age being admitted in to living assistance homes
bad diet and lack of exercise is a recipe for early death or a horrible quality of life
But deep down, it’s gotta be disheartening being that old knowing you can’t out-diet/out-exercise Father Time and the Grim Reaper. At age 76, they’re gonna pull up to run the fade sooner rather than later
