Really good show. A handful of matches felt a bit too long and they have some work to do to get many of the undercard guys over enough to have 15 minute matches with a lot of heat.

The Kenny-PAC match was great and the ladder match even better. Good drama in the Cody match and I fukked with the three-way as much of a clusterfukk it was.

The title match was a bit of a letdown and the stuff with the women throughout the show was weak.

People are making a fuss about his appearance but he’s pretty much mimicking Stan Hansen/Terry Funk character wise so he doesn’t need aesthetics as much as he needs to seem dangerous, deliver on the mic and with his antics which he’s def capable of.

Who they pair him up with going forward is what matters.

there’s a clear as day influence from Funk on what Chris has been doing since he first started working in NJPW even without having heard him say it.

he borrowed elements of the wildman version of Terry which is actually quite SMART considering there’s a whole generation currently watching the product that isn’t even aware of how great and ahead of his time Terry was psychology wise.

being able to offend you if he felt like it, make you hate his guts or love him as an affable “old timer” with a trick or two up his sleeve when he wanted to.

Sounds a lot like what Jericho is currently doing and it’s smart since Terry laid a blueprint on how to “get old” but stay believable
