this is not an Eminem diss thread so put your pitchforks away and leave the legend alone
BUT this is about the movie in itself. Like I sort of get it, but
at how hard they tried to make us feel for the “lone white rapper” in Detroit
“Oh no he wants in on a black artform and has to work twice as hard to get the respect”
That sounds familiar
Like a particular people’s entire existence
Anyway, back to that wack ass ending
Yes,
This nikka had some ... suspect origins for the character he was pushin.
BUT, there’s plenty of nikkas from good 2 parent homes who get in the drug game and lead the lowlife lifestouu’
Pusha T and Casanova for celebrity examples, and I know a couple of nikkas in real life who had good upbringings that are so vicious you don’t even know where it’s coming from
Papa Doc Going to a private school doesn’t make him soft or p*ssy
B-Rabbit’s whole rap was “you ain’t from poverty and a self hatred ghetto environment like the rest of these stupid nikkas in this crowd” and all those nikkas in the crowd went for it.
“His real names Clarence”
Like the whole final battle scene was sus
Not to mention em being the only white guy within miles and having the gall to tell the crowd “fukk you if you doubt me”
with no reprecussions
All those nikkas in the crowd switched up on him in a heartbeat for B-Rabbit
Not to mention in an alternate universe where papa doc goes to an all white Deep South karaoke bar and tries to pull the same thing
It was surely end differently.
Let one of these white rappers try that shyt in this semi-militant millennial era. It would bomb and black twitter would go in on it.
