He's like 50 breh :mjlol:
It was well known he was washed coming into this

Ruiz isn't good at all. His defense is garbage eating clean punches like that over and over. Once that chin goes he will be easy money for any decent HW
Yeah. But even in his win against Jennings way back he wasn't super impressive. Nothing about him screams super impressive. Just a weaker division crying out for a big heavyweight with good technique. I was a believer at one point and wrote people's criticisms off, but the guy never did anything at the elite level at the amateurs(in his prime lol) and hasn't done anything in the pros either.

In 2-3 years, Andy Ruiz might become a gatekeeper for younger Heavyweight fighters

The "in-shape Ruiz" is kind of like the "focused Broner", it exists in theory but never in practice

He can take a punch but not those right hands from Wilder, they would land sooner rather than later imo, Ruiz isn't good enough defensively to stay out of harms way whatever how less he tries to exchange
If he was in shape I think he could avoid the worst of it and could get in close and take away some of Wilders effectiveness. Keep in mind I agree Ruiz right now is getting knocked out by Wilder. If he comes in shape he has a chance.

your stars are but dust on my shoes
I'm of the belief that Wilder is just a bad style match up for Ruiz plain and simple.

Wilder is way too tall, and Ruiz's dimensions force him to have to come forward, which is like a death sentence against Wilder.

He's not built to stay in Wilder's chest all night, and even if he did have the stamina, you know he'd lose focus and get caught at least once.

I missed the fight tonight, but sounds like Ruiz just caught an aging and damaged Ortiz.
