People laugh at me when I say Pimp C is a top 10 hip hop artist ever but I stand by it. Don’t think there’s anything lowkey about his genius. Check his history he was a sort of musical prodigy.
Best thing about Pimp C was he was so unapologetically himself at all times both in and out of the booth. Often to his detriment but still what made him a 1 of 1.

I think the Pimp caricature is why I think no one takes Pimp C seriously as a music virtuoso.
