My parents were on the R&B tip but they played R&B from every era so I heard a lot growing up. For some reason they loved Shiny Suit Era Bad Boy music so that was my first exposure to Hip-Hop.

The rest I discovered myself thanks to BET and my crush on Ananda Lewis on MTV.

I remember hearing a lot of Mase and Puffy when i was really really young but the first actual rap album i heard was when i was 5 and my dad was driving from arkansas to mississippi to visit my grandparents and he had just bought that stankonia album.
