98 Pacers were the only legitimate threat to the 90s Bulls

I don't think my Knicks were good enough in '96 but they still were better than that Pacers team...that was built like an off-brand Knicks team.
That series would have been 2-2 in 96 if Goat didnt GOAT in game 4

What a dumb post :mjlol: The actual game 6 literally came down to a last shot and the point differential was zero.
Shrug. Nobody remembers a 6 game series my guy. Suns get a slight bump bc of the OT game and the paxson shot. That’s about it.

Otherwise you can spin ANY 6 game series and hype it up on some ‘almost’. Ie you now got cats sayin Seattle ‘could have beat them’. :mjlol:

In real time that series was such an afterthought that people genuinely thought Chicago coasted 2 games so they can celebrate at home. 2-3-2 format. Young boys was 5 years old in 96 you wasn’t there

You're forgetting about the 92 Knicks that took them 7 games.
Big facts. And the next year they had them 2-0!

One thing I loved about Last dance is it humanized Jordan. Jordan is my goat but I’m also a lebron fan, and it’s annoying that people don’t realize bron is judged on a completely different level, and that other stars had the same failures if you nitpicked them the same. Jordan included

I say that bc last dance covered how Mike was ‘caught’ gambling before the Knicks game 2…a game they lost to go down 2-0. That alone would be ‘legacy’ fodder against lebron for decades. But then last dance spun game 3 like ‘he took that personal’. Well they did blow the Knicks out but MIKE WENT 3/18 :gladbron: Pippen had 29.

Can you imagine?!? If Lebron or any current star player went 3/18 after a media frenzy like that? They’d asterisk the whole chip

I remember that '98 ecf series very well. Jordan guaranteeing the game 7 victory in a press conference and following through with his words before coming up with one of the most clutch late game performances in NBA finals history with the steal on Malone and the finals clinching jumper over Russell in game 6. They was all old and tired as fukk, but still had enough gas in the the tank to pull off the repeat-three peat. Nothing short of historical.

Nah...Bulls were just getting older & worn down by the end of their 3rd consecutive championship run.People like to say the '96 Sonics, but I never felt like the Bulls were threatened in that series.Sonics lacked championship pedigree. It would have to be the Suns or the Knicks. The Suns won 2 games on the road in Chicago, and should've had game 6 in the bag up 6 with less than a minute left in regulation.

Wished they would’ve played against Hakeem’s Houston Rockets. I’m sure it would’ve been tougher than Pacers.

The narrative that they beat bums is way overblown

Suns, Jazz and Sonics were great teams that easily could have won championships if they didn't have to play the GOAT

Portland was really good too, made 2 Finals in 3 years and just had the misfortune of playing two of the GOAT teams once they got there

Lakers were on the downside and any chance they had of making it a series disappeared once Worthy and Scott went down but that was still a very good team loaded with championship experience

Portland should've made it to the finals in '91 but they choked against the Lakers. Blazers started 19-1 to start that season. Everyone got the they wanted in '92 though.

Yeah, the Bulls were not expected to beat Detroit, let alone sweep them in 1991. Lakers were favored too in that finals (Choked in '90 vs PHX ) .
