McKnight shooter charged with manslaughter

Ronald Gasser has been arrested and charged with manslaughter in the killing of Joe McKnight.

Police say Gasser shot McKnight last week in Terrytown after a road rage incident. Detectives found that Gasser fired three shots from inside his car, killing McKnight.

Joe McKnight's family wants justice after the former NFL player was shot and killed, however, they also want calm.

"We don't want anything to be rushed to judgment, we just want it to be taken care of the right way," JoAnna McKnight told CBS This Morning in the wake of her brother's death.

She added, "You can be outraged, but just do it within yourself. Just do it in a peaceful manner."

Jonathan McKnight said while it is difficult that his brother's shooter is not in jail, what really hurts is that his brother is dead.

"I'm not going to see my brother no more," he explained. "My mom is not going to see her son."
