You know most of these so-called hip hop fans aren't actually hip hop fans, right?

answer to your question.
Yup and he wasnt the first artist to drop a dud on the second joint. LL cool j third album, slick rick, raekwon and countless other mcs threw bricks on there joints. Even though the south needs to thank ll cool j walking with a panther album for the 808 but thats a whole different discussion but we gotta let him cook. Uncle L bounced back with mama said knock you out

You know what I find really interesting about ASAP Rocky fans in general? They tend to know hip hop intimately. And not just one region or time period.

Meanwhile, you have all these "real hip hop" fans who dikkride Kendrick/Cole/Joey Badass etc, and can't articulate a fukking word. Have the most cursory knowledge of hip hop prior to their existence, and rely on cosigns to tell them who's dope.

I've said this before, but when the smoke clears, I can almost guarantee that the next generation of dope hip hop artists will be Rocky students. I'm not saying everything about Rocky is perfect, but his energy is 100% hip hop (at least in the Peso days). And that's more than I can say for 99% of the current game.

As a fan of music I can tell when an artist really loves the culture. Like when 50 dropped 50 cent is the future in 01. You could tell he was having a blast riding the mase tell me beat. Joey badass just raps to say look Im complex and can rap multis. It doesnt seem like he is having fun. Thats what the genre is missing. This rap shyt is suppose to be about having fun amd expressing yourself. It was originally an alternative to the daily horrors of poverty and violence. Now everybody is a critic and too smart for the genre.

I agree. I mean dude and his crew is as hiphop as they come. They have energy and a unique style. I dont get it. Hiphop was always about self expression and coming with your own style. When peso dropped there was nothing out like it.

I just don't think he's that good as a rapper, you better be fukking with Migos talking like that:ufdup:...The sound is interesting though, which is why entertain checking for him on occasion.

And LL should be thanked for his contribution that is Walking WIth a Panther:blessed:,But thank him for the 808?that shyt light:mjlol:
