Shyt is derivative. The "rapper doing rock" shyt usually is. It's like the black version of white rappers that have multi syllable bars but nothing else

The problem with a song like this is it would've been a hit during the SoundCloud era but now this shyt has been done over and over, and far better. Paris Texas does this type of shyt way better than what Rocky is doing here

I'm all for black folks branching out musically but nikkas gotta raise the bar from imitating all the pop punk shyt they saw on MTV in the early 2000s. I see this same issue with an artist like Willow Smith, who has some great and unique sounding records, but tends to get stuck chasing that early 2000s pop rock sound
