Him trying so hard to appeal to the homosexual community (talking about gay rights in every interview, wearing a dress-like "shirt" on 106, etc.) saved his a$$ which is ironic. :leon: Plus his main following is the white hipsters who buy whatever Pitchfork tells them is hot in the urban world. He has talent, but to me he does more imitating than innovating. He seems like a hybrid of Lil B, Odd Future, Bone Thugs, Wiz Khalifa, and Spaceghost Purrp and that's mainly why I can't get to into the hype. It's funny how everyone shytted on Meek for moving 167k first week though, but act like Rocky accomplished some amazing feat coming up almost 50k shy. 2 Chainz pushed somewhere around 150k too. T.I. who a lot of people viewed as :flabbynsick: pushed 180k too. They were dwarfed by King Kendrick though! TDE HiiiPower! I wouldn't be so critical of Rocky if he wasn't signed for 3mil and presented as the biggest thing since sliced bread. If I hear about the astronomical numbers of your deal before I even hear your music I expect to hear about the astronomical numbers you put up when that album drops. :manny:

His album leaked a month early, and he still sold 130k. The point is imagine what he wouldve sold if it never leaked

I think the young kid is cool, and is a good package

He is an example of "the machine" working and not watering down your own art...

Of course the industry plant sold. He had the perfect marketing plan to succeed. He's a c00n (always lusting after white devils) a low key fakkit ( his dress style, the way he panders to gays constantly) and he dropped in Jan without any competition ( kinda of like gangsta squad was suppose to drop in the fall but came out in jan)

These are great numbers, especially considering how early he leaked. Everybody leaked but it seem like nikkas was bumpin his shyt a month ago.

ASAP being a weird ass hipster artist def not a household name I'm impressed

some of yall are underestimating how big the hipster/college crowd is, they actually support there favorite arist by paying to see them perform and buying there music, thats why meeks and keefs numbers are :flabbynsick: and dudes like asap, j cole, cac miller are coming out and selling 150-210 first week.

I notice a lot of posters say asap dosent get bumped outside the internet or what no, the only nikkas who get bumped outside the net ended up flopping like meek and keef and the only one who didnt is kendrick.

if cacs dont enjoy your music your not gonna last long in the industry :manny:

I bought it. Nice album. I was actually worried about it after the numerous delays.

He didn't do Kendrick numbers, but Kendrick had a much better album.
