From an American point of view, that does look interesting and could objectively prevent some deaths. But I think better training and restraint mixed with a better candidate selection is the solution. Because honestly, I found that solution stupid IMO. Above all, considering that most policemen usually fire consecutive bullets quasi automatically, they'd have to unlearn that muscle memory in their trigger finger. Also, I may be wrong but is it not taught in training to shoot a suspect multiple times ?
