Jim has a number of films where he's the stand out and his humour adds to it.
I can't say the same for Sandler. The one films that springs to mind... well that's embarrassing. I was going to say the one film he stands out is funny because of others and that you could replace him with someone else and not much would change. Turns out Ben Stiller starred in Tropic Thunder.
