A huge part of the problem was Ghost having so much solo success and Raekwon trying to branch out after OB4CL. Method Man never let his stardom destroy what the clan was doing.

Raekwon wanted to have a Jadakiss like career where he could hop on the in producer of the moments tracks and be in that KONY conversation w/ Nas & Jigga. After Wutang forever he was doing tons of features like Tash's Rap Life to get his profile up. If Immobilarity hadn't been trash (mostly due to lack of RZA designing that shyt) maybe he could have been. Rae literally went to ends of the earth not to work with RZA by getting Dr Dre and Busta Rhymes to exec produce OB4CL2.

Ghost shined all over Cuban Links, Ironman, and Supreme Clientele. He passed Rae & Meth as the star of the group, was working with Jay-Z's peoples, dropped Tush :sadcam: and then followed it up by becoming the go-to rapper for hipsters and entry level underground fans by the time Fish Scale dropped. Ghost wasn't as much of an ingrate as Raekwon tho. He always rocked the Wu flag and included RZA in his projects.

Both spent way too much energy trying to launch their own groups/ labels. Probably would have never happened if they could have got a better cut from RZA and Power. Mistakes were made by everybody.
I would say they made a great decision by doing what they did, they're doing their own thing and they had great careers, you gotta move on and make your own money especially when there's 10 dudes in the group.

lol @ U-God begging Ghost to do a joint album and Ghost blowing him off.

"Yo, Ghost! What's up!

"Uh...hey..."

"I was thinking, we should do an album...TOGETHER!"

"...Yeah...that would...be great...(rubs neck, looks around nervously)."

"Just like Kanye and Jay-Z, man! We're like Kanye and Jay-Z, me and you!"

"Yeah...for sure..."

"When do we start recording?! I'm free all week - make that all month! Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha!"

"..."

"Goldie and Ghost! Goldie and Ghost! Goldie and -"

"Hey, I gotta go...call my people, alright? We'll...we'll talk about it."

"Sure, sure! What's your number again?"

"(mumbles something, starts running)"

"Ghost! Ghost! (starts chasing) What's your number? What's your number? Ghost! Ghost!"

More on this?

For All We Got Iz Us, i think he was co credited on 2 joints. I remember when it came out people were saying he did a lot of those beats dolo on the lp, which why they were so grimey. Fredo Starr took a lot of credit for those joints when it came out. That dude has no history of grimey beats.... I still want my bread back for Firestarr.
