good shyt. just listened to the whole thing. stoute is one of the most intriguing figures in hiphop. i keep up with him off gp. when he started translation i thought his position of "what makes sense" was the most basic yet sensible thing that alot of companies simply disregard. people have strong feelings about him one of two ways. no one is on the fence w/ this guy. wendy day, who i like, absolutely hates his guts. prolly, in her eyes, screwed her out of deal money.

anyway, the highlights of this joint to me were the crisis management shyt, the "black" branding pitfall and the cultural shift signs.

Culture hacks like Stoute bother me to some degree.

Thats why I kinda say that "hip hop" culture never really existed. Its just another vein of consumerism that people can link themselves to and cultivate some sort of identity.

That's quite an interesting comment. I'm just getting around to listening now.
