When I was in DC, my girl was from Hampton. We went down to Williamsburg, Va at this Mansion for he family's Thanksgiving. There was like a 100 people. Every type of ham, turkey and side you could think of. I mean this place looked like a banquet or wedding reception. As I'm fixing my plate, I remember to save room for the cornbread dressing. As I got to the end of the table I realized I didn't see any. I started to panic. I turned to my girl and ask
Me:
"Where's the Cornbread Dressing?!?!
Her:
What's that?
Me:
Ya'll don't make cornbread dressing for Thanksgiving?
Her:
I think there's some cornbread at the other table.
Me.
I knew that would be our last Thanksgiving together.
Where I'm from Cornbread Dressing is the most important party of Thanksgiving. I'm glad to be back in Louisiana.
