I would have put him in a tag with Mark Briscoe, given how Kota’s return was done, to get his feet wet before going right into singles.

But at least he physically looks good instead of flabby this time.

To me it's more about being able to properly work a match. Besides Bloodsport, Kota looked lost as fukk at pretty much everything he did in matches

He's not at peak shape but like 90% there. Looking peak trimmed but the muscle mass isn't at peak levels. Looks a bit more like a junior heavyweight than a heavyweight.
