Lue threw the game. He didn't play his bench (one of his biggest weapons — especially defensively) very much at all. He also didn't play them much with just 'Bron (the "death" line up), if at all. There was mostly this mix of some of the bench with some of the starters. It will be interesting to see how Game 2 goes.

I'm starting to wonder but it just feels like from here on out LeBron is going to have to play every single minute of the series from here on out. It sounds ridiculous but against this GSW, he's going to have to have that killer instinct again like last year. Only this time, he has to hope his co-stars and bench step up to the challenge.

Haven't seen a player in a long time whom has to take so much on his shoulders.

So Clevelands got a "Death" lineup now? :russ:

The Warriors are simply the better team.

Can they be beat? Yes, by a team that is playing at 100% efficiency AND has luck shots on their side.

However, that's exactly what sets them apart from the rest of the NBA. You don't have to be perfect to beat any other team consistently...but you do have to be perfect to beat these Warriors.

There is no excuse...there is just concrete conclusion:

1- It may have mattered last year that Lebron had no more than Melo in NY as Jr. Smith and Shump being no. 2 and 3 options.

2- But this year... Lebron has Kevin Love and Kyrie...healthy...and playing well coming into this series. If they play perfectly, they have a shot...but the Cavs are simply NOT a better team than the Warrios.

That's it. The Warriors are like the spirit animal of NBA detractors for the last decade...we yelled and screamed that the NBA needs more parity...the domination of the Warriors will hopefully bring more efficient team management and parity to the NBA to prevent their dominance.

The storylines change so quickly. When the Cavs were hot dogging, front running and beating up on the Hawks the narrative was it was the best supporting cast LeBron has ever played with, now we're back to LeBron has to do it all himself

Very true. It's just from my observation, he's going up against a beast of a team in Golden State. He has to take up another level in order for his team to stand a good chance in my opinion. LeBron didn't have to use so much energy against the teams in the East. Now though, it's time for him to go full throttle.

Shouldn't even be surprised by it at this point.

Just not sure why we're talking about Steph setting guys up when the decisive run in the game came from role players when he was on the bench.:yeshrug:

Don't get me wrong I know he's great at setting up teammates both directly and indirectly, it just had nothing to do with Livingston and Barbosa going off/widening the lead.

And I NEVER said it did breh. But its part of the game that I think is worth talking about. Also the Warriors weren't down either time the majority of the bench came in, they just stretched the lead.

It probably would have been better for LeBron's career if he came up in the west. Would probably have only made the Finals 3 or 4 times but would likely have won them all or almost all of them.

One thing being ignored is that the Warriors bench's first run was with Lebron in the game. After his hot 4-5 start against Harrison Barnes he played like shyt from the point they brought in Iggy. So not sure how this solution being proposed of Lebron stepping up and doing more is going to help the situation. The true solution is to stop having the ball stick and run an actual offense. Golden State is too great at rotating and cutting off lanes to the basket to think you can size them up and attack off isos.
