Yea yea yea, another race thread, another political thread. But before you jump to conclusions just watch this video and see why some of us don't think like a lot of ppl in here and believe that more government is the solution.

Anyway, this dude is pretty cool, I've been following him for awhile. And his libertarian views and approach would be welcomed in today's political climate.

And for the record(despite telling ppl over and over) I am not a Republican nor a Democrat...nor am I a libertarian. I do however like certain policies and standpoint from each one.

:yeshrug: Whats to discuss????

I don't subscribe to privatized tyranny under the guise of personal liberty

And besides, you support an ultra-statist like Donald Trump
:shaq2:

Privatized tyranny?

I support Trump?

:picard:

The unsubstantiated slander.

There are some libertarian concepts which fit nicely into the civil rights context. There are certain examples of using "freedom of contract" to keep states and individuals from impairing black businesses.

But that's pretty much where it ends. Libertarians' complete unwillingness to police anything except explicit, de jure racism and their general suspicion of federal civil rights laws makes this whole thread a nonstarter.

Yep, and just to expound but sort of iterate what the second part of your post states, even the "freedom of contract" idea of benefiting black businesses only is even admirable under the false assumption that a racist white majority will allow blacks to operate with autonomy and leave them to their own devices.

This country since its founding has tried to maintain a caste system with blacks being at the bottom. Even when the government said otherwise, you saw a large contingent of just the general population who desired to maintain this system. They had to be forced to conform to new norms and even then, the same problems remain after civil rights that existed before.

Maybe you should try being objective yourself first and admit you are a Trump supporter.

You'll notice with a lot of these "libertarians" they are against federal government interference when its perceived that it is helping minority groups. However they welcome it when they perceive it to be helping themselves.
