i used to hate materialistic rappers with a passion but there was something about the way Cash Money did it that was just dope

I think it was because they had a "just having fun out here" type of vibe. It felt more like they were celebrating that shyt with us, as opposed to rubbing it in our faces. I don't know. I never missed any of their video premieres :krs:

San Diego
classic 100%, was in 7/8 grade when it came out, the production was unheard of before that point, the lazy, drawl, New Orleans accent was also unheard of, we didn't know what the fukk these dudes were saying, watching this video with helicopters and shyt on Rap City or count downs....I had all the old Cash Money cds, Hot Boys, B.G, Juvenile...This and 'Ha' were the definitive songs of the beginning of the Cash Money era....Out here in San Diego, this shyt was new to us, but we all loved it...

Behind the scenes, they were all almost broke, and on heroin and shyt, while Baby dangled the carrot in front of them, as they fell apart on drugs, alcohol, groupies, whatever.....no one would know would really went on until the XXL with Juve on the cover...
