A lot of people say NIL “exposed” Alabama, how much truth do you say there is to that idea?

UCLA Football has always taken a backseat to Basketball, to the point where a cat like Josiah Johnson has stories about how even someone like him had elevated status in LA at the time.

Willie McGinest didn't have those problems though.

UCLA doesn’t do shyt with basketball neither. Never have a prestigious coach, haven’t won a final four since the 90s. They are underachieving in basketball compared to other blue bloods.

Alabama is broke and poor

2024, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Alabama was larger than Louisiana's, with Alabama's GDP at $321.238 billion and Louisiana's at $256.42 billion. This indicates that Alabama's economy was larger in terms of total goods and services produced in that year.

And Trump just moved the Space Command to Huntsville

West Coast talent is so much weaker also. So it's hard for those schools to get back on top, well primary USC. UCLA ain't never been no football Mecca.
GTFOH!! Massive talent comes from California and the west coast. Its bad coaching hires for some of the top schools like USC, UCLA. Plus the west coast is more pro sports oriented as the college football culture overall in general is not as big as the south and midwest. But there's no shortage on football talent in California. The SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12 recruits the west coast heavy.

Never said a lot of talent didn't come from Cali. They are just not as good as they used to be. Most of the talent is very overhyped and disappoint.

If you're measuring achievement solely by that, maybe.... But when it comes to putting their players in the NBA, only Duke and Kentucky currently have more in the NBA.
